Tide me over makes music and art for the soul and the heart; something to tide you over as you float on the swell, farther from weather-worn, closer to well.

Tide me over blends mental health and multimedia, art and academia, to speak about the mind. It's a special kind of paradox, since the mind is so much more than words, and this is why we have art and music to help it be seen and heard.

A mass of psychedelic colour, interleaved with pop, hip hop, and other energetic beats, Tide me over treats the listener to a kaleidoscope of sound, storms of synths that compliment the thunderous background of 808 subs, fit for single souls adrift in space or masses in the clubs.

Tide me over is a solo sailing venture, moored in Pretoria, South Africa. Werner Breedt writes, records, mixes and masters sets of sounds and samples before moving them to his Novation Launchpad for live play. Tide me over produces across genres, interleaving pop, hip-hop and other energetic beats into a kaleidoscope of sound. The reuse of fragments abounds in this transformational play, culminating in a very creative way to represent electronic music today.

Tide me over also collaborates with a host of stellar artists in the South African music scene, having played at the Smoking Dragon New Years Eve Festival, Sognage, Black Labone (African Beer Emporium), The South African State Theater, and many more musical spaces. Various jazz and afro-fusion artists form part of a kaleidoscope of sound set around a dynamic flowing beat.

Tide me over produces in Propellerhead Reason. Finalised samples and sounds are exported and played live on a Novation MK3 Launchpad through Ableton Live Lite. A dynamic electronic setup allows for loud home grown sounds to move around with ease.
